A picture paints a thousand words, so they say.

Good quality images are really important for your website.  It's better if you can get quality shots of your products but sometimes it's not feasible.

Fortunately there are several sources for good quality stock images.  

License restrictions apply, with extended licenses sometimes needed if you want to use them for print, resale or at higher resolutions than 72 dpi.

International:

• iStockphoto - pay for blocks of credits, images can cost as low as a few dollars
• Shutterstock - over 20 milion stock photo's.  Pay for monthly subscription or pay for a package of images.
• 123rf - also pay for credits and pay a number of credits depending on size of image you want
• Gettyimages

New Zealand images:

• www.mychillybin.co.nz - more expensive than international but they have some gorgeous, local shots
• www.photonewzealand.com
