Joining Groups on LinkedIn
LinkedIn groups are a useful way of connecting with like-minded individuals.
To join a group, you need to have joined LinkedIn first.
See the guide to LinkedIn - Getting Started if you haven't already joined up.
To join a group:
- Log in to your LinkedIn profile
- From the top menu bar, find the 'Groups' menu and select 'Groups Directory' from the drop down menu.
- From here you can search for a group you want to join.
- Use either the Search Groups function on the left or top right to find groups by keyword or name – try and be specific if you are looking for a particular group.
- Click on the name of the group you want to join
- Click on the yellow Join Group button
If the group has restricted membership, your application to join will need to be accepted by the group owner and you will get a notification of when this happens.
